Marcus Lindner brings extensive experience from European professional basketball, having worked with clubs such as Brose Baskets Bamberg, UNICS Kazan, FC Bayern München and HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim, as well as the German national team.

​

With a degree in sports science from the German Sport University Cologne, he combines scientific knowledge with years of practical experience in elite athletic performance, load management and holistic athlete development.

​

Currently part of the performance staff at RASTA Vechta, Marcus is passionate about continuous learning and sharing knowledge. As a co-founder of the Basketball Performance Summit, he helps connect experts and advance performance knowledge in basketball.

​

Through the Basketball Performance Network, Marcus is looking forward to personally supporting fellow coaches as a mentor — sharing experiences from his own journey, discussing challenges from everyday practice, and helping others find their own path in performance coaching. For him, mentoring is about more than passing on knowledge; it is about building meaningful relationships, learning from each other and growing together.

His mission: to help athletes and coaches reach their full potential through knowledge, collaboration and continuous development.

DOMENIK THEODOROU

With experience at BG Göttingen, Brose Bamberg and RASTA Vechta, Domenik Theodorou has built extensive expertise in professional basketball performance coaching.

His work focuses on athletic development, load management and innovative, game-based training methods.

 

Beyond his daily work with professional athletes, Domenik is passionate about sharing his knowledge, supporting the next generation of coaches and acting as a mentor for ambitious practitioners. As an active contributor to the Basketball Performance Network, he believes in the power of collaboration, knowledge exchange and continuous learning to move basketball performance forward.

 

At the Basketball Performance Network, he brings this mindset to the stage — connecting practical experience with a strong commitment to helping others grow.

GERRIT KERSTEN-THIELE

Sports Director at RASTA Vechta

  • RASTA Vechta

Gerrit Kersten-Thiele began his career in basketball management in 2003, co-founding Scorers 1st Sportmanagement. As an international basketball agent, he represented numerous professional players and gained extensive experience in the national and international basketball landscape.

​

Since March 2022, he has served as Sports Director of RASTA Vechta, overseeing the club’s sporting development with a focus on roster planning, talent development, and building sustainable player development structures. During his tenure, RASTA won the ProA championship in 2023, returned to the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), established itself in Germany’s top division, and competed in international competition.

​

Gerrit is also actively involved in the Basketball Performance Network, where he shares his knowledge and experience, supports the exchange of ideas, and connects people from across the basketball community. He believes in the value of learning from one another and sharing practical insights to help move basketball forward together.
